In-School Program

In collaboration with the students, faculty, and administration, Boston Children's Chorus (BCC) offers choral programs during the school day.

BCC’s distinct approach to choral music education elevates both artistry and cultural consciousness in every rehearsal. Each week, students practice physical and vocal warm-ups, stimulating aural training, tenets of wholistic music literacy, sight reading activities, body mapping exercises, and culturally relevant repertoire. Students develop an age-appropriate pedagogical understanding of their vocal instrument. The repertoire is chosen from a variety of genres including Gospel, Neo-Soul, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Sacred Choral music.

BCC offers Year-long, 6-month, or catered short-term programs based on the needs of each school we work with. If you are interested in having BCC bring joyful music-making to your students, please reach out to our Conductor of In-School Programs, Robert McFletcher-Jones at rmcfletcher-jones@bostonchildrenschorus.org.
